PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta) signed a cooperation agreement with PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) through XL Business Solutions in developing fiber optic networks in the Suryacipta City of Industry area to accelerate the realization of industry 4.0. The signing ceremony was conducted online between the President Director of Suryacipta, Johannes Suriadjaja and the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini today, August 5, 2021.
Johannes Suriadjaja, in his opening speech stated, “This collaboration is a form of Suryacipta’s significance in realizing industry 4.0 by providing capable digital facilities based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Looking at the growing investment and business in the IT sector makes us even more excited to realize Suryacipta City of Industry’s dream to become a home base for the IT industry and data center, in line with the development of a digital park in our phase 3.”
Johannes added that 2021 is also an important year in which Surya Internusa Group celebrates its 50th anniversary. Despite the current challenging situation, Suryacipta, which is part of the group, also celebrates this historic achievement by continuously providing the best services as well as facilities for investors and tenants.
Dian Siswarini exclaimed, “This collaboration with Suryacipta is very strategic and will provide business benefits for both parties, including our corporate customers. Digital technology-based business solutions have become a demand in all industrial fields, thus the availability of fiber optics infrastructure becomes a must for every industrial area, especially to Suryacipta as it is determined to become a world-class industrial area.”
Dian added, through this collaboration, XL Business Solutions will also provide business solutions which include data center collaboration, fixed connectivity services (leased line, internet service, VOIP), mobile connectivity services (postpaid, mobile broadband, device bundling) and ICT services (managed services) that can be offered to meet customer needs. XL Axiata also hopes that this collaboration can support efforts to expand fiber optic networks to strengthen the existence of the data center business.
Along with the direction of national development on digitalization, this collaboration will play an important role in providing a positive impact on accelerating national economic recovery, especially in West Java Province in 2021. In this collaboration, the developed fiber optic network will have two backbones to ensure seamless connectivity with low latency services throughout the 1,400-hectare area of Suryacipta City of Industry.
The event was attended online by thousands of clients and partners from Suryacipta and XL Axiata as well as public. Several state officials were also present and gave their remarks including the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, M.Sc. and the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, Johnny G. Plate, S.E. In addition to signing the cooperation agreement, the event was followed by a panel discussions with practitioners in the IT field.
