Surya Internusa Group Donate Medical Equipment to the Government of Karawang to Support the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Pandemic


On 29 April 2020, PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) actively supports the acceleration of handling and prevention of COVID-19 in its operational areas. SSIA through its subsidiary, PT Suryacipta Swadaya as the company that manages the Suryacipta City of Industry Karawang, providing medical equipment assistance to the Government of Karawang Regency, West Java province.

The donations given are medical equipment in the form of 500 clothes Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), 200 box masks, and 24 gallons of disinfectant. The donation handed over directly by Ir. Didi Wihardi as Director of PT Suryacipta Swadaya and accepted by dr. Hj. Cellica Nurrachadiana as Regent of Karawang, located at the Task Force Command Post COVID-19 Makodim 0604 Karawang.

"We hope that the donation we provide can help paramedics in carrying out their duties in dealing with Corona patients. They are carrying out a noble task. We hope this contribution will be useful" said Didi Wihardi. Previously, on March 31, 2020, PT Suryacipta Swadaya has also provided donations of 60 gallons of disinfectant through the COVID-19 Task Force Command Post, Karawang Regency.

The delivery of aid is a concrete manifestation of PT Suryacipta Swadaya's concern in preventing the spread of the plague as well as a form of thanks to the doctors, nurses, and medical personnel as the frontline in handling the Pandemic COVID-19.

On the occasion, Didi admitted that the Suryacipta City of Industry was still sterile from the coronavirus. So far, there has not been found any positive employee affected by COVID-19.

Didi said that’s because it follows the government's rules since the beginning. The command to keep the distance between employees, wearing masks, and handwashing habits have been enforced since the very first corona were discovered in Indonesia.

In addition, spraying disinfectant has been done routinely in the industrial area.

Furthermore, he continued, in order to dispel the spread of the coronavirus, a number of companies have reduced work hours restrictions as well as production restrictions.
