Suryacipta Hosts “Guide to Investment Process in Indonesia” Seminar to Attract Investment from China

PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta) in collaboration with PT Ciawenindo Mitra Perkasa (Ciawenindo) and United Overseas Bank (UOB) organized a seminar titled “Guide to Investment Process in Indonesia” in several cities in China. The seminar aims to attract investment from China to Indonesia, as well as provide guidance on how to invest in Indonesia. This is in line with the company’s vision of “Building a Better Indonesia”.

“This seminar is one of the manifestations of our vision to build a better Indonesia. We believe that investment from China can contribute significantly to Indonesia’s economic growth,” said Abednego Purnomo, Suryacipta’s Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Tenant Relations.

The series of seminars was successfully held in four strategic cities in China, namely Shenzhen (March 3), Guangzhou (March 4), Ningbo (March 6) and Suzhou on Friday, March 7. The seminars thoroughly explored the crucial aspects of investing in Indonesia, focusing on regulations, incentives, and potential investment locations, as well as providing basic insights into construction and banking.

The seminar presented three strategically selected key topics to help investors understand and execute the investment process in Indonesia more effectively. Suryacipta presented “Indonesian Investment Environment: Logistics and Infrastructure Development”, Ciawenindo discussed ‘Indonesia Industrial Building Construction Characteristics and Construction Application Process’ and UOB touched on ‘China-Indonesia Currency Direct Exchange Prospects, Potential Challenges, and Solutions for Going Overseas to Indonesia’.

Abednego added “We see this is the right momentum to attract investment from China, considering that China is the second largest source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Indonesia from 2020 to 2024, with an investment value reaching 55.7 billion USD, reflecting strong commitment and trust. We organized this seminar to open the door to wider investment opportunities for China, especially in the manufacturing sector.”

Additionally, he explained that Singapore is the largest source of FDI into Indonesia, which also includes investment from China.

“Furthermore, the smart city project “Subang Smartpolitan” with the concept of “Green, Smart, and Sustainable City” developed and managed by Suryacipta, is now an attractive investment destination for Chinese investors. The success in attracting major tenants such as BYD has created positive momentum, encouraging Chinese investors to expand their presence in Indonesia,” said Abednego.

Attended by more than 300 companies from various strategic industries such as textile, steel structure company, automotive, logistics, and electronics, the seminar provided a platform to guide investment in Indonesia. Suryacipta is confident that the information presented will benefit Chinese investors and strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.
