PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia, a subsidiary of Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. Japan, held the inauguration of its new factory located in Subang Smartpolitan on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The inauguration carried out by the first tenant in Subang Smartpolitan marked the beginning of a new chapter for the area in realizing the concept of a “Green, Smart, and Sustainable City”. This step can also strengthen Subang’s position as a new strategic economic corridor in West Java, Indonesia.
Since starting the production of electronic components such as transformers, line filters, and choke coils in 1996, Sanwa Musen Indonesia has consistently provided the latest technology solutions for the electronics industry. Now, with the completion of the new factory in Subang Smartpolitan, the company is ready to meet the challenges of the future. This modern production facility allows the company to continue to provide high-quality products that meet the needs of a dynamic market.
An investment of USD 10 million or IDR 160 billion has been used to build a two-hectare factory with state-of-the-art production technology. Designed to produce 3,000,000 – 3,500,000 units of products per month, the factory will meet domestic and foreign market demand, especially for the Panasonic Group. Sanwa Musen Indonesia is projected to be ready to start mass production in December 2024 or January 2025 with an initial production capacity of 50 percent.
Today’s agenda was officially opened with the new factory construction handover ceremony between PT Takenaka Indonesia as the main contractor and PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia. Present on this occasion were the board of commissioners and directors of Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. as well as strategic partners such as PT Bank Resona Perdania and PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta).
In his speech, Mr. Tadashi Kotani, President Director of Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. expressed his gratitude to all employees of PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia and to all those present at today’s event. Sanwa Musen remains committed to earning the trust of their customers by consistently delivering products of the highest quality.
Suryacipta, the developer and management of Subang Smartpolitan, a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk, is delighted to announce the inauguration of the new Sanwa Musen Indonesia factory in Subang Smartpolitan. This significant milestone reinforces Subang Smartpolitan’s position as a thriving hub of Indonesia’s emerging economic corridor.
Binawati Dewi, General Manager of Sales & Tenant Relations Suryacipta said, “We are very proud that our first tenant, Sanwa Musen Indonesia, successfully held a new factory ceremony today. We believe that this achievement can inspire more world-class companies to establish their investments in Subang Smartpolitan and together build a strong industrial ecosystem in Indonesia, especially in Rebana Metropolitan.”
Dewi also emphasized that the process of land purchase and establishing the Sanwa Musen Indonesia factory was relatively swift, taking approximately two years. This highlights the increasingly favorable and efficient investment climate in Indonesia. Additionally, Subang Smartpolitan facilitated the process through its one-stop service, providing Sanwa Musen Indonesia with direct assistance from the pre-investment stage to the operational business.
Sanwa Musen Indonesia, which is now strategically located in Subang Smartpolitan, is anticipated to achieve greater efficiency in production, logistics, and sales due to the region’s increasingly supportive infrastructure. The Subang Smartpolitan is renowned for its direct access to Patimban Seaport via the Patimban Access Toll Road, proximity to Kertajati International Airport, and connected to both the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road and the Trans Java Toll Road.
Furthermore, Subang Smartpolitan that is designed as a “Green, Smart, and Sustainable City” will implement Internet of Things (IoT) enabled infrastructure within the estate. This has the potential to further bolster the business operations of tenants, particularly those operating in the electronics sector like Sanwa Musen Indonesia.
On the other hand, the addition of new industries in the Subang area is projected to have a positive and sustainable impact on the surrounding community. These include an increase in the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the absorption and improvement of the quality of the workforce in the area around the industry. In line with Suryacipta’s vision of “Building a Better Indonesia,” the company strives for every business activity it undertakes to have a positive impact on Indonesia, particularly on the community surrounding its business units.
