Known as the City of Pineapple, Subang certainly has more than pineapple to offer. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), as of 2018 there are 171 manufacturing industries in Subang. The textile factory is leading with 42% of the total industry while others include chemical, food, paper, metal, machinery, electronic and miscellaneous industry.
Little do the public know that Subang is also the home of the largest modern explosive production and development facility in ASEAN. The state-owned company was established in 1966 and is still actively operating.
PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk. (SSIA), through its subsidiary PT Suryacipta Swadaya, believes that the existing industries indicate that Subang has already familiarized itself with various types of manufacturing industries.
Senior Marketing Manager of PT Suryacipta Swadaya, Indra Wicaksana, said “We anticipate that the business activities in Subang will significantly increase due to the ease of logistical access following new infrastructure development such as Patimban Seaport and toll road. When combined with the abundant workforce and competitive minimum wage (UMK), Subang has certainly become an appealing attraction driving investors to the region.”
PT Suryacipta Swadaya, as an industrial developer with more than 30 years of experience, perceives this as an opportunity to expand its business and develop a new industrial township in Subang.
“We are confident that the Smart & Sustainable Industrial Township concept will draw distinguished investors to Subang, and together we could elevate the regency’s potential as a new industrial area to benefit the community,” said Indra.
