Subang Smartpolitan – a subsidiary of Surya Internusa Group (SSIA) has also experienced increased foreign investment coming into Indonesia. Subang Smartpolitan, an integrated township development, has received many visits from foreign and local investors alike that are looking to find locations for manufacturing industries. Recently, Subang Smartpolitan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. for the purchase of industrial land.

The signing of the MoU was held in Osaka, Japan by Mr. Hisashi Kotani, President Director of Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Subang Smartpolitan, Mr. Abednego Purnomo. The industrial land will later be built for the relocation of PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia, which was previously leased in Purwakarta, West Java. The purchase of the 2 Ha industrial land is located in the most strategic location in the Subang Smartpolitan area.

Abednego Purnomo stated that “The entry of PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia to Subang Smartpolitan makes us optimistic for future sales. Until the time of handing over the land, which is scheduled for July 2023, several other companies will follow suit to sign the MoU as a sign of the purchase of land in Subang Smartpolitan”.

PT Sanwa Musen Indonesia operates in the electronics industry, which is included in the metal goods, machinery, transportation equipment, and electronics (ILMATE) industry sector – ILMATE being one of the leading sectors that contributes to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the non-oil and gas industry. The electronics industry is also one of the leading sectors and is included in the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, along with other priority industrial sectors.

Mr. Hisashi Kotani, President Director of Sanwa Musen Co., Ltd. said “We decided to build a factory in Subang Smartpolitan because Subang Smartpolitan is managed by a reliable developer with more than 30 years of experience in their field and is located in a strategic location”.

Thus, our current employees will not be burdened because the distance between Subang and Purwakarta (our current factory) is relatively close. The company will also benefit from easy access to Patimban Seaport and Kertajati International Airport, so traffic jams can be avoided, said Mr. Hisashi Kotani.

Furthermore, Abednego hopes that the success of Subang Smartpolitan in attracting investors will also benefit the surrounding communities, one of which is through the absorption and improving the quality of workforce. So that later, Subang Smartpolitan will not only be the best investment destination for investors but will also produce a multiplier effect on society and the environment.
